Rachaya Citadel

About this activity

An 800-year-old castle and the birthplace of modern-day Lebanon.   This citadel was used as a prison by imperial France to hold Lebanon’s leaders that were seeking independence.  While most of the castle is off-limits, it’s a trip through history recommended to all people of Lebanese origin.  The view from the top is also nice.
