Duris Dome

About this activity

It was built in 1243 during the Ayyubid era. Its eight columns were probably borrowed from the ruins of the nearby Baalbeck Ruins and were randomly assembled. A dome used to exist on the top of these columns but unfortunately, the place was robbed a long time ago by treasure hunters. A true gem that is neglected just like many rich historical sites in the country.
