About this activity

Right next to Sanayeh Garden, You’ll find a beautiful building surrounded by flowers and greenery. This building is the National Lebanese Library which was once the faculty of Law in the Lebanese university. The Library is open to the public and its mission is to conserve the published intellectual production and to make available all of its collections to the interested public, students, researchers, etc..

History

The Library was established in 1919 by Viscount Philip de Tarrazi (1865 – 1956), a bibliophile and a historian of the Arab press, and renovated in 2003 upon coordination between the Ministry of Culture and the European Commission.

  • Seniors ( above 64 years old) : 60,000 L.L.
