The clock in the middle which is the jewel of the square was gifted to Lebanon by the emigrant Michel Abed in 1930

Now it’s a destination for families, locals, and tourists who roam the streets of Beirut and enjoy its beauty while kids ride their bicycles and feed many pigeons there
