These two towns east of Beirut are beautiful all year long, but especially in winter when covered with snow! They still maintain the old traditional Lebanese spirit in their narrow streets and stone buildings. Many things to do there let’s check them together!

A little bakery in Falougha where you can have a delicious authentic Lebanese breakfast. They serve Saj manakeesh in several flavors with labneh, eggs, and of course a pot of tea. A great place to start the day!

Hike beside Felougha Lakes

This spot is famous for its gorgeous view of the lakes below.  You also have a great view of the Matn countryside.  The view and perspective from here are incredible.

Explore the First Lebanese Flag Podium

At the top of this hill in Falougha is the location where the first Lebanese independence flag was raised.  There is a little historic memorial and a beautiful yet small cedar forest surrounding the location.

Lunch at Cherry Lane

In an old stone building settled on a high hill and feels as if it came out of an ancient book, Cherry Lane restaurant is located. It is a beautiful classical restaurant with nice indoors while the outdoors is spacious and overlooks a great view in some corners. They serve foreign food like pizzas which are baked fresh from their oven and some French plates. Desserts are also available. Relaxing calm ambiance suitable for a romantic date or a family dinner.

Walk and discover Old Streets of Hammana

In the beautiful village of Hamanna, walk between its narrow streets and discover the old souk from the 18th century. The roads in it are paved beautifully and the architecture there will attract you with the stone buildings everywhere. What made it very famous lately is that the popular series ‘Al-Haybe’ was shot there and you'll see a coffee shop named after the series which made many tourists interested in visiting these souks.
