Description
“Al-Mir” coffee shop located in the Old Souk of Zouk Mosbeh, is a precious archeological landmark from the end of the seventieth century. The coffee shop was renovated by the municipal council in the late 1980s and is nowadays considered a heritage and landmark treasure where you can have delicious Lebanese food with a view overlooking the sea!
History
It is said that Great Prince “Bashir Al-Shihabi” himself paid more than once a visit to the coffee shop, as well as Youssef Beik Karam who held meeting with his Zouki supporters. Zouki people still reminisce about their numerous encounters with the poet Mr. “Elias Abou Chabke” in this coffee shop.
