A little shop in the middle of old souks in Tripoli with major history. This sweet shop might be simple but has been operating since 1871! Inherited from one generation to another while keeping the same taste and quality. They serve some specific oriental sweets but are famous for one item “Halawet Al Shmaysi”. Made of only two ingredients; rice and sugar, this dessert is a must-try. To make it fancier, they can add ashta on top of it if you want. Try their other items too, and encourage such shops which became part of Lebanese history to stay in business.
