The Adonis Rock

This site is located in Ghineh, Keserwan, and consists of a large rock adorned with three reliefs representing a hunting scene that may be associated with the legend of Adonis. At the foot of the rock is an underground tomb dating back to Roman times. One rock face shows a hunter with a spear in his hand facing an animal about to pounce on him. A seated woman to the right is shown weeping with her head resting on her hand. Another rock face shows a hunter holding a spear and accompanied by two dogs. Definitely worth a visit.
